VOLUNTEERS
Your Time Creates Change
Volunteering with ReActivate Dallas isn't just about lending a hand — it's about investing in a better, brighter South Dallas. Every mural painted, street cleaned, or tree planted brings pride and beauty to our neighborhoods. Your time matters — and your presence makes a difference.

Your Time = Real Results
Whether you give one hour or a full day, your time fuels transformation. Volunteers help activate public spaces, reduce blight, build community connections, and show that change is possible when we show up together.

Volunteer FAQ
Do I need to register in advance to volunteer?
We recommend it! Signing up ahead of time helps us plan tools, supplies, and assignments. But walk-ups are welcome at most events too.
Can I volunteer with my friends, family, or coworkers?
Absolutely! We love group volunteers. Just be sure to register as a group so we can place you together on the same project.
Is there an age requirement?
Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or have a signed waiver. Some tasks may have age restrictions for safety reasons.
What should I wear or bring?
Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, closed-toe shoes, and sun protection. We provide tools, gloves, and water — but feel free to bring your own gloves or reusable water bottle.
Do I need experience to volunteer?
Not at all! All skill levels are welcome. We’ll give you everything you need to get started and team leads will guide you.
Will I get credit for service hours?
Yes! We’re happy to verify community service hours for schools, jobs, or programs. Just ask the event coordinator at check-in or after your shift.
What happens if it rains?
Events are usually rain or shine, but we’ll notify you by email or text if plans change due to weather.
