Summerfest is the largest Juneteenth celebration in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, a three-day cultural experience uniting service, education, art, entertainment, and community pride. In partnership with the City of Dallas and dozens of local and national organizations, we bring thousands together to honor freedom, history, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.

JOLTcon Teen Empowerment Conference
This youth-focused conference celebrates teens who have participated in our Culture Club after-school programs, students who have visited the Walls Art and Design Center, and any student in or around the 75215-75217 zip
codes. We create unique events that help youth explore areas like:
- Launching an LLC & business fundamentals
- Copyrights, trademarks, & intellectual property rights
- Landscape architecture & environmental design
- Music production & audio engineering
- Art, design, & creative industries
- Technology, gaming, & esports entrepreneurship
- Sports business & alternative career pathways

Juneteenth Festival of Freedom
Our signature event of Summerfest, Juneteenth Festival
of Freedom, is a South Dallas community block party
stretching from Forest Forward to the MLK Community
Center, down into Fair Park. Featuring live
entertainment, free food, and community resources, it
is an event residents don’t want to miss
- Community Cleanup: South Dallas Neighborhood beautification projects
- Mural Installation: Local artists creating public art that celebrates Black history & culture
- 4K Freedom Walk: A symbolic walk for justice and remembrance, organized in partnership with the MLK Center
- Kid Zone: Dedicated area with educational activities, art tents, bounce houses, & youth performances
- Healthy Living Zone: Fresh produce distribution, health screenings, nutrition education, & fitness demos
- Community Resources: Digital skills training, financial literacy workshops, housing assistance, & food insecurity support. Over 100 vendors offering free resources, services, & giveaways
- Entertainment & Fun: Live music, food vendors, breakout sessions, and gaming booths. Car & Bike Show, featuring classic cars, custom rides, and motorcycle clubs from across Texas

Dr. Harry Robinson, Jr. preserved African American history and culture as the founder of the African American Museum in Dallas and a national leader in cultural education.
